CYNINA was built at Norman Creek in Brisbane during the late 1940s and launched in 1950 — a proud chapter of Queensland’s maritime heritage. She was constructed by Vic “Doc” Ammerman and Col “Windy” Barrie for Charlie Sinden, originally powered by a three-cylinder, 30-horsepower Lister diesel and designed to be both practical and timeless.
In November 1981 Fred Fleming undertook a major refit that included the construction of a new coach house, keeping her a functional and much-loved cruising vessel for the generations that followed.
Underwood’s Marine was engaged during a multi-year refit to step in and complete the internal fitout and exterior refinishing.
