Deck Replacement
Charisma was built in Norman Creek in Brisbane in 1980. She is a howw heel carvel Moreton Bay Cruiser typical of the period. She is planked with spotted gum over spotted gum fibs and backbone.
By 2025 the original beech decks laid over plywood were leaking badly, allowing freshwater ingress to the hull. It was decided the best course of action would be to replace the decks with plywood sheathed in fibreglass. In an 8 week period the decks were replaced.
